Unaccustomed as I am...

Reader, I’m almost weeping with pride as I write this. I’ve won an award. A prestigious award. It was announced at last weekend’s Vox Conference – the one day in the year when the big hitters in the UK voiceover industry gather somewhere in the midlands for a big party. I feel very honoured and very, very privileged.
Regrettably, I couldn’t be there to receive my award due to another high-profile media engagement. I received word of my win from a colleague who simply texted me the cryptic phrase: “U won, you beeatch!” I was intrigued. I wasn’t even aware I’d been nominated. In which category had I triumphed? I texted a couple of other conference-goers and received various insensible and frankly drunken responses.
“Leave me alone. Am onstage, you saddo.”
“Hav lost me shoes.”
“Goin bed. Vommed on a random. Eek.”
It wasn’t until the next day when all became clear.
Reader, I won the “Best Out-take” category.
Niiice.
Listen here to the winning clip.
Wow.
